Michael Shope

Michael Shope’s Campbell County roots run six generations deep.  Even though he was raised in and is a current resident of Farragut, as the Grandson of Rev. Paul and Faye Heatherly and J Everette and Walcie Bowman, he spent much of his childhood in Campbell County.  He spent many days celebrating holidays, playing with cousins behind the counter of the family jewelry business, working in the fields, and attending his Papa’s church, Hillcrest Baptist, where he made a profession of faith as a young boy.  Michael graduated from Webb School of Knoxville and the University of Tennessee.  He graduated from Lincoln Memorial University, Duncan School of Law and expanded his Campbell County roots by externing with The Honorable Shayne Sexton in the 8th Judicial District Criminal Court.  After working in the Chattanooga area for 3 years he returned to Knoxville as the title attorney for Title Group of Tennessee, LLC and owner of law firm, Shope and Associates, PLLC.  This has given him the opportunity to serve this area now as a member of the Board of Directors at the CCCLC with his expertise in law and business.  He and his wife, Megan, a former educator and stay-at-home mom, have been blessed with 3 children enrolled at Concord Christian School, Avie, Zeb and Eden.
