Aaron McLain

Aaron is originally from Greene County, TN, and has degrees in Christian missions, ministry, and education. He has been married to his wife Maria since 2000 and has four children and one granddaughter. Aaron has a passion for making Jesus known to young people through God’s Word and has worked in public schools and camp ministry for over ten years. He and his family were church planting missionaries in Mexico, and Aaron was a pastor at Lighthouse Baptist Church in Unicoi, TN. Aaron enjoys camping with his boys, running, and is an airplane enthusiast. Aaron joined CLC's team in 2026 and teaches Intro to Old Testament, Intro to New Testament, and Biblical Worldview courses for the CCHS campus.

Joy has been a resident of Campbell County since 1985, and she is so excited to be part of CLC. She began in this role at the beginning of the fall semester in 2023. Joy is blessed with two children, three grandkids, and a 100-pound Mastador named Weezie. She enjoys reading and studying God's Word, listening to gospel and contemporary Christian music, going 4-wheeling, attending sporting events, and hanging out with her grandkids. We appreciate all the JOY she brings to CLC’s ministry and students. As our ministry assistant, Joy plays an active role in the work of CLC to support students in the classroom and assist with events and office duties.

Stephanie Hester

Stephanie was raised in Oneida, TN, earned a Bachelor's degree in English Education (grades 6-12) from Asbury University, and holds a Tennessee teaching license. Stephanie moved to Campbell County in 2019 and began working at the Christian Learning Center where she has held several roles in teaching and directing. Two of Stephanie's passions are teaching and Christian discipleship, which is why CLC's ministry has become such a great calling upon her life. She has previously served in other ministry leadership roles at Galilee Bible Camp, Fincastle Church, and Fifth Street Ministries. Stephanie resides in Jellico with her husband Justin and stepdaughter Aleeyah. Her favorite activities include being spending time with family, gardening, baking, and hiking.

Katelyn is a local to Jellico and graduated from Jellico High School in 2015. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Joey. They have two children, Waylon and Caroline, who keep life fun and busy. Katelyn and her family attend Newcomb Baptist Church and enjoy being an active part of their church community. She loves spending time with her family, reading, and going new places. In 2026, Katelyn became our Ministry Assistant for the JHS campus and is responsible for assisting in the classroom and overseeing attendance and transportation.

Maria grew up in Campbell County, TN. She was a music missionary in a Christian band, The Shine Effect, where she served from 2014 until 2023. She is married to Ben Roberts, and they have twin boys, Jack and Leeland. Maria is a co-founder and co-director of OneLove Church Student Ministry alongside her husband. She also serves in other areas such as Celebrate Recovery and leading worship. Maria has a passion to see students learn more about the Bible, and ultimately come to have a personal relationship with Jesus. She joined CLC's team in 2025 as the Development Director, leading our fundraising efforts, overseeing financial operations, and collaborating with our board of directors to ensure that the ministry is stewarded well.
